To integrate your Gusto account with Kept, follow the instructions below to create an admin account for us. NOTE: Only a company admin (not a broker account) can add a new admin. You may need to share this URL with the employer's benefits admin in order to complete this process.

Step 1:

Log into your admin account in Gusto. On the left navigation bar, select "Settings." You'll see several tabs at the top, select the one that says "Permissions." When it shows the permissions options, select "Add or edit admins."

Step 2:

On the screen that follows, enter the information listed below:

Employment status: Not an employee

Who are they?: Other Collaborator

First Name: Kept

Last Name: Inc

Email: cobra+EmployerCompanyName@kept.io (replace "EmployerCompanyName" with the employer's legal name with no spaces)

Step 3:

Scroll down and select "Full access." This will provide us with the information we need to automatically handle COBRA and off-boarding for you.

Why does Kept need full access? We need access to two reports, the benefits census (which tells us all about who's enrolled in benefits and what benefits terminated folks should be offered), and an employee report (which lets us know who's been hired and terminated along with the contact information we need to get in touch with them). Linking those two reports together requires SSNs for your employees (this is also required to handle COBRA enrollment and termination with your insurance companies). Unfortunately, today, Gusto requires full access in order to get all of that information.

Step 4:

Click "Add admin" at the bottom of the form and then when the box appears, click "Add admin" again. You're all done and we'll get started setting up your company's COBRA administration and off-boarding experience.
